The largest solar power project in Vietnam broke ground in Bo Trach District, the north central province of Quang Binh on Wednesday.

The largest solar power project in Vietnam broke ground in Bo Trach District, the north central province of Quang Binh on Wednesday.

The project has a total capital of US$13.7 million funded by South Korean official development assistance (ODA).

After being built next yearend, the plant will supply power to 1,294 households in four districts namely Minh Hoa, Bo Trach, Quang Ninh and Le Thuy.

It is directly managed by the province People’s Committee and expected to provide 30 percent of households outside the national grid with electricity by the end of this year.
