WTO Boss to Address Vietnamese Business People

Pascal Lamy, the Director General of the World Trade Organization, will spend 90 minutes talking with Vietnamese business people on November 15.

The occasion will be a luncheon arranged by the APEC Business Advisory Council, which is organizing numerous activities for the APEC gathering.

Hoang Van Dung, the council’s chairman and also a vice chairman of the Viet Nam Chamber of Commerce and Industry, says these activities include the “Doing Business with Vietnam Forum 2006” and the “CEO Summit 2006.”

“Doing Business with Vietnam Forum 2006” on November 16 will be divided into four sessions and addressed by 27 speakers.

Mr. Dung says it will be a great chance for Viet Nam to show off its advantages and potential before an audience of foreign businessmen and women.

Besides the 400 Vietnamese business people who have booked to attend, the forum will see a record 700 potential or actual foreign investors in attendance.

Prime Minister Nguyen Tan Dzung will open the forum; the ministers of Industry, Planning and Investment, Finance and Trade will be there too.
