This is an essential feature in the process to create a common database to improve the administrative tasks, to reduce unnecessary documents, to effectively develop applications related to civil service, and to support the local authorities in district level in managing their area.
The to-be civil database is also used for the construction of a smart city.
According to Ms. Vo Thi Trung Trinh, Deputy Director of the HCMC Department of Information and Communications, both methods and a clear precise schedule of civil database building are of equal importance. These are supposed to serve the management as well as forecasting and researching tasks.
It is critical that citizens are aware of the meaning and effectiveness of the digital civil database, especially in prominent aspects like health care and education.
To successfully implement this method, the people’s committee of all districts in HCMC should strictly follow each stage in the schedule, beginning with digitizing civil information forms no later than March 2019. They then must continue with digitizing civil status documents before October 2019.
The HCMC Department of Information and Communications is expected to cooperate with the HCMC Department of Finance, the HCMC Department of Public Security, and the HCMC Department of Justice to inspect all related work.
“In order to be precise and to meet the deadline when carrying out this process, related units must report to the HCMC Department of Information and Communications every month. All are to timely tackle arisen issues and trouble while maintaining the unity and synchronism of information”, said Ms. Trinh.
