Sheraton Saigon Hotel wins global honor

The Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers leapfrogged many big names in the region to win the World Travel Award for being “Asia’s Leading Conference Hotel” in 2009 at a ceremony in London on November 8.

It was also named “Vietnam’s Leading Hotel.”

Sheraton Hanoi Hotel and Evason Ana Mandara Resort were respectively “Vietnam's Leading Business Hotel” and “Vietnam's Leading Resort.”

Sheraton Saigon Hotel & Towers belongs to the Starwood (USA) hotel group, which has more than 940 properties in more than 100 countries.

Established in 1993, the World Travel Awards honor excellence in all sectors of the global travel industry. Called by the Wall Street Journal as the "travel industry's equivalent to the Oscars," the awards are considered the most prestigious in the industry and have more than 167,000 travel professionals worldwide voting to pick the winners.
