Duong Truong Thien Ly is likely to represent Viet Nam at this year’s Miss World pageant to be held in Johannesburg, South Africa, from November 16 to December 12.

Elite Viet Nam, which nominates the candidate, is awaiting clearance from the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
Ms. Ly, 19, was the 2nd runner-up at the Miss Universe Vietnam contest held earlier this year to choose the representative for the Miss Universe pageant held in Nha Trang last July.
A second-year student at Saint Mary’s University in the US, she won awards at the International Model Contest organized by The International Modeling and Talent Association in New York last August.
This typical Vietnamese beauty has the advantage that she is fluent in English. She was a Goodwill Ambassador for the Hoan Vu Joint Stock Company at the Nha Trang Miss Universe pageant.
