The Goethe-Institute Ho Chi Minh said the 2015 European Music Festival will take place in Hanoi and HCMC starting November 18 and 19.
For over 10 years, the European Music Festival has been an important cultural bridge between Europe and Vietnam. This year, Vietnamese audiences will be enjoyed the performances from as many as seven artists and bands from a total of seven countries.
The organizers said the German techno ensemble “Brandt Brauer Frick” (photo) will also perform in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh on the opening ceremony of the 2015 European Music Festival.
The band comprises the three musicians Daniel Brandt, Jan Brauer and Paul Frick with their very own style. The combination of electronic soundscapes with harp, cello, contrabass and vibraphone challenges the audience.
Since their formation in 2008, the ensemble has changed: While only working with samples of classical instruments in the beginning, Brandt Brauer Frick now performs with up to ten musicians on stage, showing the ambitiousness of their project. The unique music experience has wowed audiences all over the world. The band has already played at Lincoln Center New York, Centre Pompidou in Paris, as well as at many festivals in Germany, England and California. In Vietnam, Brandt Brauer Frick will perform in their original line-up of three musicians, and make techno and classic meet in an extraordinary way.
In HCMC, the band will perform at Conservatory HCMC, 112 Nguyen Du Street, district 1 on November 19 and in Ha Noi at Youth Theater on November 18.
