2018 European Book Day to open in HCMC this weekend

European countries Austria, Denmark, Germany, Finland, France, the Czech Republic, Spain, Sweden, Italia and the Wallonia-Brussels Federation will present works which have recently been published in Vietnamese at the 3rd European Book Day in HCMC Book Street from May 12-20.

There will be book presentations, readings, workshops, talks, film screenings, quiz games, and discounted programs.
Highlights are introductions of books, “Revolution” by French President Emmanuel Macron, “The Little Book of Hygge: The Danish Way to Live Well” by Meik Wiking, “The Life of the Bee” by Maurice Maeterlinck and others.
The book bus which serves as a mini library in the book street will also provide readers European literature books.
The 2018 European Book Day is one part of the 2018 Europe Days which have been kicked off in Hanoi and HCM City since April 26. The event was organized in Hanoi on May 5.
