6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival ends

The closing ceremony of the 6th Quang Nam Heritage Festival was held at Hoai River square in Hoi An ancient town on June 14.

The event attracted more than 2,000 local and international artisans, artists, athletes, scientists, businessmen from 35 domestic and abroad cities.

The festival featured 22 sport, tourism and cultural activities,  such as exhibition on Vietnam’s sea and islands, international seminar on preserving and promoting cultural heritages with the Hoi An Declaration, introduction of Vietnam’s intangible cultural heritage sites recognized by UNESCO, international Choir Competition, Bai Choi traditional singing festival, Ngoc Linh Ginseng Festival, inauguration of Tam Thanh Community Art  Village, introduction of Ky Anh Tunnel, sport and folk games, and among.

The Quang Nam Heritage Festival is held annually to promote Vietnamese cultural values, provincial cultural characteristics and tourism potentials as well as to call for investment in the province.

 

It was also a chance to exchange experience on management and preservation heritage cultural values among localities.
