American group Della Mae to perform in Hue Festival 2016

The Della Mae, an American group from Nashville, will perform in the Hue Festival 2016, said director of Hue Festival Center, Che Cong Trung.

Born in 2009, the band’s musical style seamlessly blends years of experience with traditional mountain music and modern singer-songwriter sensibilities.  Della Mae has toured throughout the U.S., playing festivals, music clubs, house concerts, churches, and conducting workshops.

The Della Mae includes guitarist Celia Woodsmith; fiddle player Kimber Ludiker; mandolinist Jenni Lyn Gardner; banjoist Courtney Hartman; and basser Zoe Guigueno.

Hue Festival 2016 entitled “710 years of the founding of Thuan Hoa-Phu Xuan; cultural heritage with integration and development” will take place in Hue ancient capital in Thua Thien- Hue Province from April 29 to May 04, 2016.

Many art troupes from around 20 countries and territories throughout the world have registered to take part in the festival, such as the L’Homme Debout, Hip hop Par Terre and Fuzeta of France; the Cancer of Denmark; Amurskie Zori of Russia; Della Mae of the U.S.; singer Anna Calvi from the UK and more.
