American-Japanese hip hop party in Hanoi

Bilingual rapper, Kensho Kuma and Tokyo based beat maker Cloud NI9E will travel to Hanoi for a performance at ATK bar on August 29.

The show is part of the South East Asian tour marking the launch of their latest EP (extended-play), The Program.

Kensho Kuma is one of the big names of West Coast American Hip Hop culture and community for his bilingualism and slick rhythms during 15 years. He shared the stage with hip hop heavy-weights Talib Kweli and Hieroglyphics.

His collaborations with producer and DJ Cloud NI9E are a match made in beat-heaven with their latest EP garnering plenty of attention both in the US, Japan and Europe.

Cloud NI9E rose to prominence in Japan with the jazz and soul heavy compositions that saw some of the world’s best lyricist looking to collaborate with the far Eastern beat-maker.

Kensho’s double edged rhythms, and Cloud NI9E’s smooth-as-Sake beats promise a glimpse of Hip Hop inspired by the golden age of 90’s Wu Tang Clan.
