Backstreet Boys enchant Vietnamese fans

Two members of the Grammy- nominated Backstreet Boys, Nick Carter and Howie Dorough received a warm welcome from Vietnamese fans during their tour to the Southeast Asian nation for the first time on March 21.

Nick Carter and Howie Dorough landed at Noi Bai Airport in Hanoi where they transferred to another plane to Ho Chi Minh City. They were accompanied with an over 20-strong technical and support team. Brian Littrell and A. J. McLean did not come this time due to personal reasons but they will be present at the press conference on March 23 in Park Hyatt Hotel.

Nick Carter and Howie Dorough took a tour of the famous Ben Thanh market in district 1 on March 21. They visited the historic site of Cu Chi tunnel, played golf and went fishing today.

The Boys will meet with fans at the show in HCM City’s Military Zone 7 on March 24. They will sing their hit numbers including ‘I Want It That Way’, ‘I’ll Never Break Your Heart’, ‘Straight through My Heart’ and many others from their “This Is Us” album.

They will attend a meeting with well-known artists in Hanoi on March 25 and will perform their last show at Hanoi’s My Dinh National Stadium on March 26.

The ‘This Is Us’ Tour is the eighth concert tour by American boy band, the Backstreet Boys.  The tour has already covered Europe, Asia, Australasia and the Americas. The performance is part of the tour ‘This Is Us’ that began in the fall of 2009 and will continue till the end of this year. They have toured through the cities of Lisbon (Portugal), Madrid (Spanish), Newcastle, Manchester and Birmingham (England).

After the shows in Vietnam, the group will return to the US to begin a tour with the 1980s-leading band New Kids on the Block.
