Chinese-Vietnamese community celebrates Tet Nguyen Tieu

Thousands of visitors were attracted to the Tet Nguyen Tieu, a traditional cultural festival of the Chinese-Vietnamese community at the Cultural Center in District 5, on February 17.

The festival had interesting cultural activities like musical performances, kylin and dragon dances, folk games, an exhibition of calligraphic paintings and a Chinese food fair.

One of the highlights of the event was the lantern festival from February 14 to 17.

Tet Nguyen Tieu is usually celebrated on the fifteenth day of the first month of the lunar calendar.
