Chinese-Vietnamese Painter Club Puts On a Show

An exhibition featuring 56 paintings and calligraphy works by 19 painters belonging to the Chinese-Vietnamese Painters Club are on display in Ho Chi Minh City.

The artists include veterans like Truong Han Minh, Truong Lo, Huynh Tuan Ba, and Ly Tung Nien as well as some young painters.
 
Their works are based on images from daily life, landscapes besides flowers and fruits.

Minh, the head of the club, said: “We will assist young painters in order to infuse fresh blood into the club and experiment with new materials. The club will focus on traditional painting, modern painting and calligraphy.”

The exhibition, on at the headquarters of the HCMC Fine Arts Association on Pasteur Street, District 3, will last until September 4.
