City holds concert honoring love for country

A concert titled “Vietnam- our heritage, our love” featuring Vietnamese typical musical works will be held at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on June 8.
 
Some of the most outstanding Vietnamese musical works from the beginning of the 20th century will be performed at the concert.
 
They are Dan Chim Viet (Vietnamese Birds) and Truong ca Song Lo (Epic of the Lo river), popular songs by musician Van Cao who  composed the national anthem; Nhung ky niem que huong (Homeland Memories) and Tinh ca ((Love Song) by Hoang Duong; Nguoi Ha Noi (Hanoians) by Nguyen Dinh Thi; Aria Co Sao by Do Nhuan; Canh chim bao tin vui (Wings of happy messages) by Dam Thanh; Dat nuoc tinh yeu (Country love) by Le Giang; and Dong chay (Flow) by Tran Manh Hung.
 
Meritorious Artist Hong Vy; artists including Nguyen Thi Thanh Nga, Nguyen Thu Huong, Nguyen Thi Nhu Ngoc, Tran Duy Linh, Nguyen Minh Khoa, Dinh Trung Kien; Children Choir and Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera Choir & Symphony Orchestra will join the event under the baton of conductor Tran Nhat Minh.
