City to host Japanese Film Festival

The Japanese Film Festival themed ‘Infusing new wind in Japanese animation and feature movies 2013’ will take place in Ho Chi Minh City from November 15-21.

The film festival will present to viewers 29 of the latest and most popular short and long films by young film makers.

Japanese film makers and directors will also give an exchange with Vietnamese audiences and insiders.

Free tickets will be available at BHD Star Cineplex Icon 68 from November 9.

The film festival is being organized by the Consulate General of Japan in HCMC and the Japanese Agency for Cultural Affair with support of the Japan Image Council.

The event will also be held in Hanoi, Da Nang and Vung Tau to mark the 40th anniversary of Vietnam-Japan diplomatic ties and Japan Vietnam Friendship Year 2013.
