Classical opera, “Die Fledermaus” performed in HCMC

The classical opera , “Die Fledermaus” (The Bat, or Revenge of the Bat) which was composed by Johann Strauss II, will be performed at Ho Chi Minh City Opera House on September 9.

Classical opera, “Die Fledermaus” performed in HCMC

The play is a collaboration between the Goethe Institute in Vietnam, the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO) and young German director David Hermann.
The performance reflects effort and work put together in a short time by the performers and musicians, and the cultural exchanges between Vietnamese and German languages, costumes, and stage designs
The 140-year-old classic is conducted by Askan Siegfried Geisler and Tran Nhat Minh with the participation of artists of HBSO, including Cho Hae Ryong, Pham Khanh Ngoc, Pham Trang, Phan Huu Trung Kiet, Dao Mac and others.
