Concert celebrates Vietnam-Netherlands diplomatic ties

A concert marking the 45th anniversary of Vietnam-Netherlands diplomatic ties will be held at the HCM City opera House on November 18.

The performance will present to music lovers the Concert Piece No. 2 in D Minor for two Clarinets and Orchestra written by German composer Felix Mendelssohn, the Clarinet Concerto No. 1 by Spanish film composer Oscar Navarro and the Symphony No. 4 in E Minor composed by Johannes Brahms.
Dutch clarinetist Leon Bosch who is the principal conductor of the Philharmonisch Orkest Mozart in Amsterdam and Symfonisch Blaasorkest Heemstede, and the artistic director and conductor of the Domstad Blazers Ensemble will perform in the concert.
He will share a stage with Vietnamese clarinetist Nguyen Tuan Loc, an instructor at the city’s Conservatory of Music; and artists of the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera (HBSO).
The concert will be led by South Korean conductor Lim Jun Oh who is a lecturer at Dong-Eui University, and music director and conductor of the New Prime Symphony Orchestra in South Korea.
The event is co-organized by the Ho Chi Minh City Ballet Symphony Orchestra and Opera and the Netherlands Consulate General in Ho Chi Minh City.
