Country marks 83rd anniversary of Vietnam National United Front

A meeting was held by the Central Committee of the Vietnam Fatherland Front in Hanoi on November 18, to mark the 83rd anniversary of Vietnam National United Front.

Nguyen Thien Nhan, President of Vietnam Fatherland Front Central Committee, presented a review of the glorious historical stages of the development of Vietnam National United Front in the last 83 years.

He highly appreciated the role of the Vietnam Fatherland Front and hailed its outstanding contributions to the Party and Nation.

On the same day, President Truong Tan Sang attended the opening of ‘National Solidarity-Vietnam Cultural Heritage Week’ in Dong Mo Tourist Area in Hanoi, marking the 83rd anniversary of Vietnam National United Front and Vietnamese Cultural Heritage Day on November 23.

There will be a wide range of activities held during the week including art performances, exhibitions, rituals and festivals of 54 communities in the country. Special festivals of the Mekong Delta Provinces will also be presented in Hanoi for the first time.

The cultural week will run until November 23.
