Songs composed during wartime receive permission in Vietnam

According to the Department of Performing Arts, 52 songs composed before 1975 and songs of overseas composers will be allowed permission to play in Vietnam.

This permission takes the total number of songs in this category to 1,600 so far.

The composers whose songs have been permitted include Dieu Huong, Trinh Cong Son, Tu Cong Phung, Pham Duy, Anh Bang, Trinh Nam Son, and Pham Dinh Chuong.

According to the Department of Performing Arts, the permission will create good conditions for businesses and artists will feel encouraged to participate in the country’s activities.
