Viet Nam to Take Part in Asian Choir Games 2007

Conductor Pham Hong Hai, Vice Director of the Viet Nam Opera and Ballet Theatre (VNOB) and a member of the World Choir Games (WCG) Council will travel to Jakarta city in Indonesia to be a judge at the 1st Asian Choir Games which will take place between November 2 and 10.

Mr. Hai will be accompanied by a children’s chorus of the VNOB who will represent Viet Nam in the contest.

The games will bring together some 200 choirs from all parts of the Asian Pacific Area to compete in 21 different categories according to age, vocal range and music genre. The festival is expected to take place every odd-numbered year.
