Vietnamese Central Puppet Theater will soon organize performances in Japan and France to popularize Vietnamese traditional water puppet.
On the occasion of “Vietnamese cultural Heritage” Days which will take place in Okinawa, Japan, from March 13 - 23, 2006, the Central Puppet Theater will send a 15-member group to Japan. Apart from 16 plays of water puppets, they will perform some stage-based plays with contents focused on Vietnamese History
They will go on to perform in the 10th World Art Festival which introduces art traditions of nations around the world, in France from April 2 - 8, 2006.
The Vietnamese puppet group is taking part in those activities to promote Vietnamese traditional water puppet which has been conserved and developed by Vietnamese artists for generations.
