World Hindi Day Celebrated in Viet Nam

The Consulate General of India recently celebrated World Hindi Day in Viet Nam with a cultural program at the Ho Chi Minh City Youth Culture House.

Audiences were treated to special performances by Vietnamese and Indian artists that brought to life the diverse cultural features of India and Viet Nam.
 
Students from the Orient Faculty of the HCMC University of Social Sciences and Humanities also performed some Indian songs and dances, and shared their experiences from studying the Hindi language.
 
Hindi is an Indo-European language spoken mainly in northern and central India. It is one of the official languages of the Union government of India.
 
The program was generously supported by the Indian Business Chamber and the Dancers Association of Ho Chi Minh City.
