Da Nang International Lighting and Visual Art Contest 2014 canceled

Da Nang City will no longer host the International Lighting and Visual Art Contest 2014, said Tran Quang Thanh, deputy director of the Department of Culture, Sports, and Tourism on April 17.

The city will now prepare for the Da Nang International Fireworks Competition 2015.

This decision has affected much tourism to the city for the Reunification and Labor Day holidays, according to travel companies. Customers will be able to cancel tours to Da Nang, shorten trips, or change destinations due to the situation.

Da Nang People’s Committee previously approved the B Plus Media Company’s contest on the last weekends of April.
