Dong Nai launches first-ever cherry blossom festival

The People's Committee of the Southern province of Dong Nai and International Tien Bo Company organized press meeting to announce the Japanese cherry blossom festival and the Japan Investment Promotion Conference in Dong Nai, yesterday.

The first ever cherry blossom festival will take place from April 23 to 24. Local people will have chance to contemplate 70 cherry trees and 5,000 blossom branches from Hokaido (Japan).

Many cultural activities will be launched during the event.

Representative from Dong Nai's culture, Sport and tourism department said the festival aims to strengthen cultural and investment relations between Vietnam and Japan. On this occasion,
Mr. Lijima Isao, a special advisor to Japanese Prime Minister led Japanese enterprise delegation will visit Vietnam.

Accordingly, 46 Japanese enterprises in sectors such as transport, construction, manufacturing, agriculture and television will take part in the investment promotion conference to be held in Dong Nai.
