Vietnam National History Museum in coordination with Malaysia National Museum is hosting an exhibition on Dong Son Culture at the National Museum in Kuala Lumpur until May 5.
The exhibition aims to celebrate the 90th anniversary of the discovery of the Dong Son Civilization in 1924.
The event will have 100 displays of the Dong Son Civilization promoting Vietnamese traditional culture and history.
Scholar R. Heine Geldern named the Dong Son Culture in 1934 after finding a resemblance between bronze objects excavated in Dong Son ancient village along the banks of Ma River in Thanh Hoa Province, and finding artifacts dating back to the Metal Age in Vietnam in 1924.
The Dong Son Culture is located in the North of Vietnam spanning the Northern border to Deo Ngang mountain to Ha Tinh and Quang Binh Province near Red River, Ma River and Lam River.
