Network of the European Union National Institutes for Culture (EUNIC) in collaboration with the Central Documentary and Science Film will organize the seventh European - Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City on June 10- 20, aiming to introduce impressive documentary films about history, culture and society all over the world.

This is the seventh time that European - Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival has been organized in two biggest cities of Vietnam.
This year’s film festival attracted filmmakers from Denmark, Germany, France, Israel, Austria, Poland, Switzerland, Spain and Vietnam.
The organizational board will hold documentary film shows and exchange programs with German, Israel, Indonesian and French filmmakers. The filmmakers will talk about network of documentary film of Indonesia in Southeast Asia region, and network of French documentary film in Europe, America and Asia.
Moreover, several of Southeast Asia entries from Cambodia, Malaysia, Myanmar, Indonesia, Laos, Thailand and Vietnam will be screened at the festival in Hanoi on June 13, and in Ho Chi Minh City on June 14, 18.
Within the framework of the festival, two workshops about film script development will take place in Hanoi and Ho Chi Minh City where German filmmaker Arne Birkenstock and Israeli filmmaker Shirley Berkovitz will talk about experience on documentary film to Vietnamese young filmmakers and student of Hoa Sen (Lotus) University.
Attending in the seventh European - Vietnamese Documentary Film Festival are French filmmaker Frédéric Violeau and Indonesian filmmaker Amelia Hapsari.
During the festival, the host country will screen 10 films under theme of history, culture and society, which won valuable prizes at international film festivals.
