Temari are an ancient Japanese handicraft. They are thread balls made as gifts for adults, as well as for children on special occasions. The craft dates back more than 1000 years to the time when the kemari (football) was brought to Japan from China.

Workshops for those interested in trying their hand at this traditional Japanese handicraft will be available during the exhibit.

This exhibition was hosted with the cooperation of the Japan Temari Cultural Association, VJCC, and the Consulate General of Japan in Ho Chi Minh City.  The hosts hope the exhibit will continue to strengthen the relationship between the two countries.
