An exhibition on the country’s names and capitals through historical periods opened at the Hue Citadel in the central province of Thua Thien-Hue on September 1.
The event is co-organized by the the Hue Monuments Conservation Center, the Vietnam National Archives I and IV.
The display presents to viewers photos and copies of 18 pages of royal documents and 18 pages of woodblocks of the Nguyen dynasty (1802-1945).
Exhibits showed that the country name has been changed nine times since the initial stage to 1945, Director of the Hue Monuments Conservation Centre Phan Thanh Hai said
The event aiming at marking the National Day (September 2) will run until December 1.
