The Spanish Film Festival 2017 celebrating the 40th anniversary of diplomatic relations between Spain and Vietnam is taking place in Hanoi from October 7-22.

The Spanish Embassy in Hanoi presents a brand new film cycle offering cinema lovers a chance to savor the latest of Spanish filmmaking. Movies in various genres, including comedy, drama and thriller shows the creative zest of a country that ranked the 4th in Europe and 8th in the world in terms of cinematic productions
On this occasion, the premiere of “Thi Mai”, the first Spanish feature shot in Vietnam will be presented to the public. Director Patricia Ferreira and producer Larry Levene will share their experience of filming the movie in Hanoi and Ha Long Bay at the first screening at the National Cinema Center on October 18.
The film fest will also include following activities, such as the opening ceremony of the event, a discussion with the participation of Vietnamese and Spanish filmmakers, and more at the Embassy of Spain in Hanoi and at the National Cinema Center.
