The annual book week for children in urban areas opened in Ho Chi Minh City’s Hoc Mon District on June 1.
The book show which will run until June 5 displays more than 80,000 copies of over 8,000 titles, including local and imported books. Books of various genres such as literature, comics, skills training, languages, games, and fun puzzles are being presented at the event.
Children will have also opportunity to enjoy performances of martial art, circs and demonstrate their artistic talent by painting statues.
The annual bookweek was launched for the first time in 2008 by the Fahasa Book Distribution Joint Stock Company and has attracted a large number of readers.
The event then will be organized in Cu Chi District on June 8-12.
