German band GOLF performs in four cities

The German band GOLF will tour to Vietnam for performances in cities, including Hanoi, Hue, Da Nang and Ho Chi Minh City from October 27 to November 2.

The concert presenting the group’s new songs is co-organized by the Goethe-Institute Manila and Goethe-Institute Vietnam.

The GOLF will also give exchanges and talks with students of Goethe Institute and local universities during the visit.

Vietnam is one of the destinations on their tour in Southeast Asia in the year.

The band has four members, including drummer Jonathan Heitkamper, bass guitarist Nils Asthoff, vocalists Andre Hormeyer and Wolfgang Petrasch who have known each other since kinder garden.

Golf is one of the most interesting bands in the German music. Their songs combine danceable electronic beats with funky pop. GOLF uses the noises of everyday items, such as the key chains, coins, vacuum cleaners and frying pans to create their very own innovative sound.

The shows will take place at Hanoi’s Youth Theater on October 27; Da Nang University on October 29; Hue Culture Center on October 30 and Ben Thanh Theater in Ho Chi Minh City on November 2.

The group will leave Vietnam for concerts in the Philippines’ Manila from November 4-6.
