HCM City Int’l sculpture camp ends

Vietnamese and Belgian artists won the highest prizes at the international sculpture camp celebrating 40 years of Ho Chi Minh City’s development and integration which at ended at the Ethnic Culture Historical Park in District 9 on December 21.

Local authors Do The Thinh and Ngo Liem, and foreign sculptor Fabian Saeren got the awards for art works, Connection, Life of fish, Philosophical Research respectively.

The camp which took place from November 15-December 17 attracted 50 sculpture works by domestic and international artists from countries, such as Russia, Iran, Bulgaria, Ukraine, Belgium, Romania, and Japan and among.

The participating art works were selected from more than 200 entries of all genres and styles, featuring the building, development and integration of a growing dynamic city with friendly and active locals over the past 40 years.

Outstanding works will be displayed in local public areas such as Nguyen Hue Flower Street and in parks in the city.
