HCMC- Gyeongju Int’l Cultural Festival 2017 to take place in November

Chairman of the HCMC People’s Committee Nguyen Thanh Phong and Governor of Gyeongsangbuk-do province, Korea Kim Kwan Yong co- chaired a ceremony in HCMC yesterday to introduce a management board of the 2017 Ho Chi Minh City- Gyeongju International Cultural Festival.

The cultural festival is scheduled to take place from November 9- December 3 with art and cinema performances, exhibitions, culture exchange, trade and investment promotion activities ….

It is considered as an important event and favorable chance to advertize image of modern and civilized city of the Southeast Asian country - Ho Chi Minh City to international friends, contributing to strengthen culture exchange between Vietnam and Korea in general and the two localities in particular.

On the same day, a Vietnam- Korea night music program took place at Hoa Binh (Peace) theater.

Kate festival recognized as national intangible cultural heritage

A ceremony receving the certificate in recognition of Kate festival, the most important event of the Cham ethnic group, as a national intangible cultural heritage by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism was held at the Po Klong Garai Cham Temple Towers near the city of Phan Rang-Thap Cham in Ninh Thuan Province on October 19.
