HCMC plans firework displays on New Year’s eve

The Ho Chi Minh City is working on plan of spectacular firework displays on New Year’s Eve (January 1), according to the People’s Committee of the city.


A 15-minute firework display in combination with light art performances will be set up at the Bitexco Financial Tower in District 1.

Another low-range firework display will take place at the Dam Sen Park in District 11.

A series of festive activities will also be held across Ho Chi Minh City to welcome the New Year 2015, including the 2015 New Year Festival featuring special art performances and folk games; a ‘Street Lighting’ program featuring thousands of colorful lights in the City Center.

Music shows for student dormitories, the processing & industrial zones, and district cultural centers throughout the City on December 31 and January 1 will also be launched during the New Year season.
