Jordan Charles Vogt-Roberts, an American film and television director and screenwriter traveled to the central coastal province of Quang Binh from September 11-12 to look for filming locations for the blockbuster: Skull Island, the upcoming King Kong prequel.
The film crew has searched and surveyed locations from August 26-December 26, including Hanoi, Hai Phong, Da Nang, Ho Chi Minh City, Quang Ninh, Ninh Binh, Nam Dinh, Hoa binh, Phu Tho, Thanh Hoa, Nghe An, Ha tinh, Bac Kan, Ha Giang, Lao Cai, Yen Bai, Cao Bang, Quang Binh, Quang Tri, Thua Thien-Hue, Quang Nam, Dong Nai and Lam Dong. The film will be shot in one year between December 1, 2015- 2016.
Deputy Minister of Culture, Sports and Tourism Vuong Duy Bien has given a nod to the Lagendary Pictures to shoot the film Titan in locations.
