Under the reign of Lord Nguyen Phuc Khoat (1714 – 1765), also known as Chua Vo (Martial Lord Vo) or Vo Vuong (Martial King Vo),  Ao Dai is national costume which is worn by both sexes but now most commonly worn by women in Dang Trong (the Inner land or the southern region).
According to experts, Hue must build a national traditional costume center and an association of Ao Dai trading and making to preserve and restore Vietnamese traditional dress.
Meanwhile designers the local government should focus on building a street of Ao Dai and Ao Dai space as well as organize Ao Dai fashion shows to introduce national costume and traditional cultural values to visitors.
