Indian Festival of Lights celebrated in Hanoi

The Indian Festival of Light, or Diwali, that is celebrated by millions of Indians all over the world, will be light up Hanoi at the Indian Cultural Center on October 27.

Diwali is the Festival of Lights celebrated with display of lights, traditional clothes and distribution of Diwali sweets. It also celebrates new beginnings and the triumph of good over evil and light over darkness.
The Diwali Festival 2017 will include special activities, such as wearing traditional Saree, performance of Henna art, the lighting of lamp, cookery show, photo booth for visitors to take pictures in traditional Indian style, display of Diwali items, Diwali entertainment and music show and enjoying snacks and soft drinks.
Diwali is a five-day Hindu festival in India, which occurs on the fifteenth day of Kartika month. Diwali means "rows of lighted lamps".
During this time, homes are thoroughly cleaned and windows are opened, and lamps lit everywhere to welcome Lakshmi, the goddess of wealth. Gifts are exchanged and festive meals are prepared.
