Indian Film Festival to be held in major cities

Indian Film Festival will be held for the first time in main cities, including Hanoi, Ho Chi Minh City and Da Nang from December 12-23.

The festival will introduce eight films made by 14 renowned Indian directors, such as 3 Idiots , Oh My God!, Taare Zameen Par, Paheli, Wake up Sid, Dil Chahta Hai, Bhaag Milkha Bhaag and Jodha Akbar.

The movies will be screened free of charge at Le Do Theater in Da Nang on December 12-13; at National Cinema Center in Hanoi on December 18-20; and at BHD Star Cineplex ICON 68 in Ho Chi Minh City on December 22-23.

A seminar on cinema cooperation between the two countries will be also organized with the participation of local and Indian filmmakers.

During the event, Indian movie producers will have chance to visit Vietnam’s landscapes in order to seek beautiful places for their films.

The film festival is held by the Indian Embassy in Vietnam in collaboration with the Vietnam Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism.
