Isaac wins "Raising Star Award" at Busan Int'l Film Festival 2016

Vietnamese actor Isaac won the Raising Star Award for his role in the film titled “Tam Cam-The Untold Story” at the 21st Busan International Film Festival 2016 which is taking place in the southern South Korean city of Busan from October 6-15.

The Vietnamese film competes in the “A window of Asia Cinema” category ” that is  a showcase of brand new and/or representative films by the talented Asian filmmakers with their diverse points of view and style.

Kidari Entertainment will buy the copyright to distribute the film “Tam Cam- the untold story” in Korean market after it signed agreement with VAA Production and BHD Company.

This year’s “Actor of the Year” award belonged to Lee Byun Hun and Han Hyo Joo won the “Actress of the Year” title.

Started in 1996, the annual Busan International Film Festival is one of the most significant film festivals in Asia. The event aims to introduce new films and first-time directors, develop and promote young talent, especially those from Asian countries.

The Busan International Film Festival 2015 attracted 302 movies from 75 countries and those movies will compete in the various awards, such as New Currents Award, Sonje Award, BIFF Mecenat Award, Actor & Actress of the Year, NETPAC Award, FIPRESCI Award, The Asian Filmmaker of the Year and more.
