Japanese rapper COMA-CHI to perform in Hanoi

Well-known female Japanese rapper COMA-CHI will give a performance at the CAMA ATK lounge in Hanoi on August 23.

COMA-CHI hit the music scene in 2003, building her reputation through performances in Tokyo and participation in MC Battles. She gained notoriety for her freestyle street rapping.

She released her first solo album ‘Day before Blue’ in 2006. The album hit the top of the Japanese music charts in its first week of release.

COMA-CHI was recognized by Blast Magazine, who listed her as one of the Ten Future Japanese Rappers to watch in 2007.

The rapper released albums ‘Red Naked’ in 2009 and ‘Beauty or the Beast?’ in 2010. She has recently founded her own management company, Queen’s Room.

The event is being organized by the Club for Arts and Music Appreciation (CAMA) with support of the Japan Foundation.

Tickets are priced at VND 50,000; free entry for Vietnamese students with valid ID card.
