The Vietnam Gemstones, Jewelry and Art Crafts Association held a press brief to announce the Miss Vietnam Jewelry 2013 competition, in which a young beauty will be crowned from 35 finalists.
This cultural event encourages jewelry artisans to create more products of beauty and style in keeping with the trends.
The competition is open to Vietnamese women aged from 18-27 from May 19 to June 21.
The organizer will choose 35 candidates in the final round on July 20 at Tuan Chau Island Port in the northern province of Quang Ninh.
Miss Vietnam Jewelry 2013 will receive VND300 million (US$14,411) in cash and a crown worth VND200 million ($9,608).
