Dozens of antiques were found by a group of 14 Vietnamese and Japanese archaeologists at 3 places in Hoi An Ancient Town from Aug 14 to 30.

The archaeologists unearthed an ancient foundation located behind the Tran Quy Cap School in Hoi An, which is concluded to be built early of the 18th century. At the eastern area of the Cau Pagoda, many wooden stakes which dates back to the middle of 17th century, were founded.

Finally, at the church on Nguyen Thi Minh Khai Street, a lot of Hizen-terracotta items and stoves, believed to be made in the last half of the 17th century, were brought to light for the first time ever.
