More Than 30,000 Dolls and Cuddly Toys Handed Over

A meeting between Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training and 24 representatives of Education and Training Offices was organized on May 9, 2006 to work out a plan for a collection across the educational system to support the “Doll’s House” program of the Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper.

 

According to representatives of Education and Training Offices in the city, there were more than 30,000 dolls and cuddly toys donated.

Some schools also changed the program into a movement of helping and sharing difficulties with poor pupils by the emulation in doll collection.

Ho Chi Minh City’s Department of Education and Training and the Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper agreed on the doll collection day in the city which will take place on May 16, 2006 at Tran Dai Nghia High School.


The Education and Training Offices of District 12 will organize the doll collection day in the whole district on May 10, 2006 and will send all dolls to the management board on the same day.
