National education channel to start broadcasting on New Year day

The National education channel, VTV7 will go on air for the first time starting on January 1, 2016.

The channel will run 18 hours every day and offer a wide range of programs, such as  Wake Up with VTV7, VTV7 English, Discovery, My Books and Education Talkshow, among others.

The VTV7 School is regarded as the most important show, which offers lessons taught at school, helping pupils improve their knowledge of history, mathematics and other subjects. Pre-school children and primary pupils are VTV7’s target audience during its first period of airing.

Besides educational programs, the channel will also provide entertainment programs featuring children's cartoons and animated family films.
