Park Of Giant Music Instruments to Be Created

A park of giant music instruments, displaying up to 200 instruments in sheer size, will be built in Pearl Island Tourist Area, Lang Co Town, Hue.

Located in an area of 400,000 square meters, the park is considered the first ever artwork of investors, who want to honor traditional instruments in an off-beat way.

Around 10 musical instruments will be finished by combined efforts of hundreds of workers to mark Lang Co – Beach Legend Festival.

As many as 40 giant instruments will be completed and performed in public in 2006.

The remaining work will be finished in 2008.

Giant musical instruments, made from artificial wood and composite materials with their strings being made of animal skin, stainless steel and plastic, would bring adventurous tourists to a world of fascinating music performances.

Around VND150 billion is funded to the project. Its ground-breaking ceremony will be held on April 12, 2006.
