Pham Thanh Hang Wins Top Modeling Award

Pham Thanh Hang picked up the Vietnam Cup and VND50 million in cash at the awards ceremony for the Vietnam Model Awards 2006 yesterday evening.

In all, eight prizes from the judges and 10 for the public’s favorite models were handed out in the studio of the Ho Chi Minh City television channel HTV7.
 
Thanh Hang won Miss Photo Vietnam 2002 and two modelling awards in 2004, and represented Viet Nam at the Miss Intercontinental pageant in Shanghai, China last year.
 
Thuy Huong won the best figure prize and the award for the public’s favorite model.
 
Other prizes went to Huynh Pham Ngoc for having the friendliest demeanor (Miss Mobifone), Truong Chi Chuc Diem for being the most suitable for advertising, Xuan Lan for looking the most “impressive” (Miss Nokia), Dang Ngoc Han for the most photogenic (Miss Saigon Elegant), and Vu Thu Phuong for having the most promise (Miss DoubleRich).
 
The evening’s entertainment included a fashion show where 18 models and beauty queens paraded across the stage and down the catwalk in designs from Milano, Vo Viet Chung and Van Thanh Cong.
 
The organizing committee handed VND53 million to Thanh Nien newspaper to help the victims of Typhoon Durian.
