The event is organized by the Ministry of Culture, Sports and Tourism in coordination with the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Hanoi City People’s Committee to mark the 50th founding anniversary of ASEAN.
The exhibition displays 230 photos by 230 photographers of ASEAN countries, including Indonesia, Malaysia, Philippines, Singapore, Thailand, Brunei, Laos, Myanmar, Cambodia and Vietnam. Best art works were selected from more than 10,000 pictures of 1,200 authors.
The event presents to viewers countries, people, cultures, economies and societies of ASEAN nations; cooperation and relationship activities among countries in the region; and promotes understanding among countries as well as contributing to building an united, dynamic and developed ASEAN community, and a peaceful and proper region.
The organization board also awarded the “ASEAN-2017” Cup to the 10 best works of 10 authors representing the 10 ASEAN nations. They are the “ASEAN 13 Omar Ali Saifudden Mosque2” by Haji Jumat Bin Haji Taha (Brunei), “Number of tourists from different” by Phat Dara (Cambodia), “Pacu Jawi” by John Hantoro Pudjoko (Indonesia), “That Luang Stupa in Vientiane” by Ikham Khamlasee (Laos), “We love Malaysia” by Tan Ee Long (Malaysia), “Kyite htee yoe: The Golden Rock Pagoda” by Nyaung U Than Htay (Myanmar), “Fluvial Parade Dinagyang Festival” by Raniel Jose Castaneda (the Philippines), “Marina Bay” by Ho Hon Yew (Singapore), “Releasing” by Wannapong Surarochprajak (Thailand) and “Bac Son Valley” by Vu Kim Khoa (Vietnam).
The exhibition runs unitl August 11.
