An environmental photography contest “Plastic bag problem” with aiming at raising public awareness on harmful effects of the use and disposing of plastic bags in wrong places is launched in HCMC.
The environmental photography contest, organized by the Environmental Protection Fund in Ho Chi Minh City, is calling for entries from both amateur and professional photographers who pay attention to environment protection.
Through the contest, the organizer wants to encourage people to join hands in diminish the bad effects of plastic bags by less using it.
Each entry includes three to five photos taken by any kind of digital cameras without being edited. Entries have to reflect one of the contest themes including bad influence of using and disposing plastic bags in wrong places, solution to minimize the use of nylon bags, recycling it and commitment to diminishing the use of plastic bags in community.
Entries must be attached with explanatory leaflet of the photos’ theme, time, place, size of original photos, and comments within 100 words, and contact information.
Entries should be delivered to the organizer’s email: firstname.lastname@example.org by July 25, 2014.
Qualifying photographs will be prized on marks. In addition, top 20 winning photographs will be posted in the website and fanpage of the city’s Environmental Protection Fund. They will be entered the selection contest of favorite photographs and are voted by website visitors.
