Wolfgang Amadeus Mozart is Austria’s greatest composer. He was born in Salzburg, January 27, 1756; died in Vienna, December 5, 1791. He started to compose when he was five years old.
Mozart composed over 600 works, including symphonies, operas, violin concertos, piano sonatas, several serenades and divertimentos.
Viet Nam’s Ministry of Posts and Telematics has issued a stamp to commemorate the great composer whose work has influenced classical music worldwide.
The stamp’s size is 43x32 millimeters with a value of VND 2,000, and is available from March 1, 2006 at all postal offices in Viet Nam.
