SGGP Newspaper wins B-Class Prize at National Press Contest

Senior journalists Le Tien Tuyen and Ly Viet Trung from Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper have received the B-Class Prize at the 6th National Press Awards Contest 2012.

The National Press Awards Contest was organized by the Vietnam Journalist Association, which received more than 1,268 entries from 117 organizations across the country. The contest offered two A-Class Prizes, 23 B-Class Prizes, 39 C-Class Prizes and 31 Encouragement Titles.

The awards ceremony of the 6th National Press Awards Contest 2012 will take place in Hanoi on June 21, marking the 87th anniversary of Vietnam Revolutionary Press Day.

In addition, the Ho Chi Minh City Journalist Association has also announced the winners of the 30th HCMC Press Awards 2012 which include five first prizes, 10 second prizes and 18 third prizes. Among them, Sai Gon Giai Phong Newspaper won one first prize, 2 second prizes and 2 third prizes.
